Designed by Markus Heinsdorff, MUDI realized transparent pavilions in golden or metal appearance, made of bamboo in different sizes and shapes as walk-through objects and exhibition spaces for the event 'Chinese-German Promenade' in different cities of China. The design consists of bamboo pipes and bamboo panels and a newly developed connection system. The façades are made of transparent plastic or a mesh of golden bronze and show a light game by the reflection of different lighting during day and night. The pavilions are temporarily shown in various cities all over China until 2010.
